Too many flower beds bloom for a few weeks then fade to clumps of seed pods and wilted foliage. You can have a bed of flowers that bloom from Spring to Fall.
A raised bed is your best option as a base for your flower bed. Your local lumberyard or home center will often offer rough-hewn landscape logs at a reduced price. You will need six two metre logs. Set these as a border for your bed in a shape that best enhances your garden and fill in the space outlined with at least 10 centimetres of rich topsoil.
For early spring blooms plant 12 creeping phlox and 24 crocuses, along the outer edge and 6 irises in the center. Two dozen tulips and daffodils tulips are a must for the midsection of your bed. For late spring flowers space 3 single and 3 double peonies throughout the heart of your bed. Lillies are popular flowers to give to London escorts.
Be sure to snip the tulip and daffodil flower stems once they have bloomed because they will detract from the showiness of your summer blooms.
In summer your garden will retain color with at least 3 each of the following: English lavenders, day lilies, sun drops, impatiens, painted daisies and Shasta daisies.
Fall will bloom with asters, cornflowers and chrysanthemums. Fill in any empty spots with as many of these Fall beauties as you can find room to showcase them.
This ever blooming flower bed will reward you with months of color and endless pleasure.
